Terms of Service

1. The service

Inked World helps people discover tattoo artists and studios through search, profiles and a map. Professionals can claim and manage their profile.

Inked World is an information directory. We are not a party to any appointment, agreement or transaction between you and a professional, and a listing is not a recommendation.

2. Accounts

You can browse Inked World without an account. Some features require one. You must provide a valid email address and keep your sign-in details confidential. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account.

If you think your account has been compromised, contact us at hello@inked-world.com.

3. Acceptable use

When using Inked World, you must not:

• publish content that is unlawful, misleading, defamatory, hateful, or that infringes the rights of others;
• impersonate an artist, a studio or any other person, or claim a profile that is not yours;
• access or attempt to access other users’ accounts or non-public areas of the service;
• extract data in bulk by automated means, or disrupt or interfere with the service or its security;
• use the service to send spam or unsolicited commercial messages.

4. Professional profiles and imported data

Some artist and studio profiles are created from publicly available information, such as open geographic data (OpenStreetMap) and information professionals publish about their business. This information may be incomplete or out of date, and we do not guarantee its accuracy.

If you are the professional concerned, you can claim the profile, ask us to correct it, or object to its publication, as explained in our Privacy Policy.

5. Claiming a profile

A professional may claim the profile of their artist or studio activity. We verify claims using the evidence available, for example control of the website or email domain associated with the profile, and our team may review them. We may ask for more information or refuse a claim.

An approved claim allows you to manage the profile. It does not transfer any ownership of Inked World. False claims are prohibited and may lead to suspension of the account concerned.

6. Your content, images and portfolio

You are responsible for the content you publish on Inked World, including profile information, text and images such as portfolio photos. You confirm that you hold the necessary rights to it, including the consent of any identifiable person shown.

You keep ownership of your content. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, resize and display it on Inked World, for the sole purpose of operating and presenting the service, for as long as it is published on Inked World.

7. Moderation

We may review, hide or remove content, or refuse a profile, a claim or a request, when it breaches these terms, the law or the rights of others, or when necessary to protect users or the service.

8. Suspension and closure of accounts

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or is used fraudulently, where appropriate after notice.

You may stop using Inked World at any time and ask us to delete your account by writing to hello@inked-world.com or through our data request form.

9. Intellectual property

The Inked World name, logo, design and software, and the directory as a whole, belong to us or to our licensors. Artwork and photographs remain the property of their respective authors. You may not copy or reuse them beyond what the law allows without permission.

10. Availability of the service

Inked World is provided “as is” and “as available”. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and the service may be interrupted for maintenance or for reasons beyond our control. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

• information published by professionals or imported from public sources;
• the services provided by the professionals listed on Inked World, or your dealings with them;
• indirect losses, or losses caused by events beyond our reasonable control.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, or affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when features change. The date at the top of this page shows the current version. If a change significantly affects you, we will inform you by reasonable means. Continuing to use Inked World after an update means you accept the updated terms.
