On 27 May 2021, Miona Kovačević (Nova.rs) described, at the Museum of Science and Technology in Belgrade, the exhibition "Forenzika – više od veka" (until 4 July 2021). It shows two tattoos cut from the body of the same man, dated by the article to 1925: Emperor Franz Joseph and the coat of arms of Austria-Hungary. According to curator Srđan Vasilijević, since nobody claimed the body from the morgue, pathologists took these tattoos "for their collection". The man has not been identified.

On 20 July 2005, Cvijetin Cvrkotić (Vreme) reported on a summer tattoo gathering held on 17 July 2005 at the Student Cultural Centre (SKC) in Belgrade, around the stand of Sloba, who shows his machines and designs there. In an exchange the article does not explicitly attribute to him, a speaker says he did his "first real tattoo" in the Yugoslav army (JNA), fifteen years earlier. One attendee finds tattoos on intimate areas rare here, though common in German magazines.
