Argentina— Tattoo scenes & cities

In Argentina there is no single rule: each province has its own. In the city of Buenos Aires, Law 1897 of 2005 requires a licence to tattoo, renewed every two years, and the province of Córdoba applies Law 9012, with a licence valid for five years. In Buenos Aires, every studio must have a sterilisation method authorised by ANMAT.

In Córdoba, needles must be disposable and single-use. In Buenos Aires, pigments must be recognised as fit for human use, and each client signs an informed consent form, which the tattooist keeps for at least three years. Minors there need written authorisation from a parent or guardian, or their presence. In Córdoba, tattooing anyone under 14 is forbidden.
